The availability of reliable, useful data related to fire service operations, on scene performance, and firefighter safety has grown exponentially in the last few years. Savvy fire chiefs are hiring or assigning data analysts to mine multiple sources of data for intelligence to improve their service delivery, location and distribution of resources, firefighter safety, and of course equipment purchasing decisions.
